Glenallachie 17 Years Old Mizunara and Oloroso Sherry Cask, 70cl, 50%

Crafted from a rare and prized Japanese oak, Mizunara, this wood is seldom used for whisky maturation due to its scarcity, high cost, and tendency to leak. Yet, when paired with exceptional Oloroso puncheons and hogsheads, it gives rise to a remarkably rich and intricate Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Nose:Aromatic layers of heather honey, candied orange peel, and crystallised ginger, intertwined with hints of cocoa, toasted tobacco, and fresh vanilla pods.

Palate: Warm waves of baking spices, dried blood orange, and caramelised honeycomb unfold into deep notes of dark cocoa, poached cinnamon apples, and luscious fig syrup, finishing with toasted pecans and a touch of demerara sweetness.
