Glenallachie 9 Years Old Fino Sherry Cask, 70cl, 48%

This expression of Glenallachie was finished in fino sherry casks – a dry white wine aged under a layer of yeast in Spain’s Jerez de la Frontera. This is a dram with bright aromas of bergamot and grapefruit peel, leading to creamy vanilla, caramel and subtle savoury edge.

Nose:A warm mix of nutmeg, heather honey, and rich vanilla, layered with notes of butterscotch, crisp green apple skin, stone fruits, and toasted almonds.

Palate: Opens with flavours of dried apricot, honeycomb, and creamy butterscotch, evolving into gentle baking spices, marzipan, and smooth caramel, with lingering hints of orchard fruit and a touch of citrus zest on the finish.
