Hazelburn, first introduced by Springbank Distillery in 1997, is their unpeated, triple-distilled expression. This 2025 release is an 8-year-old single malt, fully matured in Oloroso sherry casks.
Often the most underrated of Springbank’s trio of single malts, Hazelburn delivers quietly impressive character—and this release is no exception. We think it’s outstanding.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose – Sweet cinnamon aromas provide a welcoming introduction, with cocoa powder, cranberry and redcurrant notes emerging.
Palate – Mixed berry notes come to the forefront on the palate, along with hints of strawberry bubble gum, sticky toffee pudding and blackberries.
Finish – A nuttiness presents in the finish in notes of hazelnut and walnut.
